Bro. Jay was born and raised in
Mississippi and is proud to be a native son of the Magnolia State.
He attended and graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN and is also a graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA.
After living in the Chattanooga, TN/North Georgia area for 15 years, he and his family moved back to Mississippi where he entered the pastorate. He has served as pastor of three churches across the state of Mississippi and currently serves as Senior Pastor-Teacher of First Baptist Church, Winona, MS.
Bro. Jay loves sports (especially football), playing golf, watching westerns (John Wayne & Tom Selleck are his favorite cowboys), and spending time with his family.
He also loves Southern Gospel music.
Through the years, Bro. Jay has enjoyed working as a radio disc jockey, beginning in high school at the age of 17. Since his first days on the air, he had dreams of hosting his own Southern Gospel radio program. God opened the door for those dreams to become a reality in March of 2016. That was when the green light was given for him to proceed with a Southern Gospel radio show to air on
WBKN-FM in Brookhaven, MS.
Harmony-N-Truth went on the air in November of 2016 and continues to air each weekend on WBKN-FM.
Since then, the following radio stations have added Harmony-N-Truth to their programming:
WFCA-FM in French Camp, MS;
WDRO-FM in Monticello, MS;
